Of course magic exists. And there’s a chance you might just stumble upon some. And if magical moments are wonderful things that make life richer, then leaving them to chance seems rather unfortunate.

Now, I’d put the chance that there’s a fairy living at the bottom of your garden very low the scale of reasonableness, but that’s not the kind of magic I’m talking about.

I’m talking about a feeling. A feeling you get when experience something amazing, something serene, or beautiful, or exciting, or one of many other feelings that might contribute to a magical moment.

These kinds of moments are a kind of bubble. They’re transient, they’re delicate, and they can burst. But most importantly, and dramatically underrated, is the fact that you can create them, inflate them, share them. You can make the magic happen.

It’s a skill. You learn what the ingredients are, you learn to recognise and predict when the circumstances are right, and you just how much to blow so that the bubble inflates and doesn’t burst. If you don’t get the bubble mix right, it won’t work. If it’s too windy, it won’t work. Blow to hard or too gently and it won’t work.

But with just a little practice and a little patience you get it right, and you can create these moments of magic.

You can create them for yourself, for your partner, your family, your clients, for anyone. You can be intentional about discovering and applying the elements of great experiences. You don’t have to leave them to chance.

Creating magical moments makes life better.
